Fandango Blanket Crochet Pattern - Flamenco

This blanket is BRIGHT!!! It's bold and brash, with flamboyant flounces and ravishing ruffles in fiery reds, hot pinks and vibrant oranges. Think feisty flamenco dancer flicking her fan, red rag to a bull, paso passion, colour drenched and in your face! Perfect for any maximalist scheme, it's hot, hot, hot!

The striped pattern consists of a two row pattern in a beautiful fan design. The border is a pretty shell edging which creates a slightly ruffled edge for added texture.

This 17 page pattern includes detailed instructions, including photos, to make the blanket in a single bed size, with suggested starting chains for other sizes. It gives you the lists of colours used and stripe colour order.

The pattern requires 15 balls of Yarnsmiths Create DK, available from Wool Warehouse. This is my go to yarn as it's soft and squishy and so easy to work with. It comes in such a lovely array of 200 gorgeous colours, in 100g balls, is 100% acrylic and has a very good price point. Yarnsmiths also have the same full range of colors in their Merino yarn, so can easily be substituted for a touch of luxury. The merino is available in 50g balls so double the quantity would be required.
