Chocolate Box Blanket Crochet Pattern - Mint Chocolate

I called this design "Chocolate Box" because it reminds me of the inside of a box of chocolates, where each chocolate has it's own little shape to nestle into. The coloured blocks remind me of a selection box, where every centre is different. This colourway is in a range of greens and browns creating a yummy minty chocolaty mix on a spearmint background.

The blocks are made in a three colour oval shape, then squared off with a single colour and joined in a staggered 'brickwork' layout. The blanket is then edged with a multi-coloured linen stitch border. 

This 27 page pattern includes detailed instructions, including photos, to make the blanket in a single bed size. It explains how to make the full and half motifs, and how to join them, how to complete the border, and includes the list of colours used and a colour map of the layout. Both colourways included in the pattern - Caramel, and Mint Chocolate.

The pattern requires 16 balls of Yarnsmiths Create DK, available from Wool Warehouse. This is my go to yarn as it's soft and squishy and so easy to work with. It comes in such a lovely array of 200 gorgeous colours, in 100g balls, is 100% acrylic and has a very good price point. Yarnsmiths also have the same full range of colors in their Merino yarn, so can easily be substituted for a touch of luxury. The merino is available in 50g balls so double the quantity would be required. I have not been sponsored by Yarnsmiths - I just love their yarn!
