I chose a more muted colourway for this Bubble Tea version of my Bubble Blanket - this one is fruity and spicy, with syrupy shades of mango, mint, matcha and coffee. Its sweet and silky and mellow and snuggly.
The pattern is a two row repeat which creates undulating stripes with a slightly rounded texture. The border is made up of rows of bubbly bobbles. Bubbles Galore!
This 17 page pattern includes detailed instructions, including photos, to make the blanket in a single bed size, with suggested starting chains for other sizes. It will give you the lists of colours used and stripe colour order for all three Bubble Blanket colourways!
The pattern requires 15 balls of Yarnsmiths Create DK, available from Wool Warehouse. This is my go to yarn as it's soft and squishy and so easy to work with. It comes in such a lovely array of 200 gorgeous colours, in 100g balls, is 100% acrylic and has a very good price point. Yarnsmiths also have the same full range of colors in their Merino yarn, so can easily be substituted for a touch of luxury. The merino is available in 50g balls so double the quantity would be required. I have not been sponsored by Yarnsmiths - I just love their yarn!
